GREETINGS ALL:
I am trying to validate pricing for a BX2230 with fel and bar tires. I was quoted 11,700+ TAX by local deal in CT. Is this a fair price or should I continue to shop.
Has anyone used a BX 2230 for fence buliding? I have 900+ feet of split rail to build and was curious if the BX would run a Woods Digger?

Just make sure you get a post hole digger specifically designed for SUB COMPACT TRACTORS. A regular length auger is too long for a BX. ....

Good point, you can also buy extensions for most augers if trying to get below frost lines but they are a bit of a hassle to work with. ....

My Kubota bx23 came with a Land Pride PD10 post hole digger, and it was fine. I don't think the PD10 is specifcally sold as "for CUTs".
If anything I wish the auger was a little bit longer but I haven't found an auger extension for the PD10 yet.
That kubota will be great to put your fence in! I put in all my horse fencing plus a big fence at my parents' place all with my BX23. ....

I appreciate the wonderful advice from the board memmbers. However, My original post dealt with a pricing issue. I was quoted $11,700 from a dealer in CT for a BX2230 with bar tires (loaded) and a FEL. I wanted to know if this price is a fair representation of the market in the Northeast.

Sorry!I'd help ya if I could. Trouble is prices seem to vary dealer to dealer and what's a good price here in Maryland wouldn't be the same up your way.
For grins have one of the online tractor dealers price it out, and call one other Kubota dealer in your state. That's the best way to get a feel for pricing.

you should be able to get bx2230 with front loader for 11,100 no more than 11,500 a dealer here in houston has one for 10,900 ....
